Position Descriptions:

VP Finance
- Create a budget for WMC 2022
- Creating monthly bank reconciliations
- Recording revenues and expenses in the general ledger
- Act as one of the three signatories for competition funds  
- Must have knowledge in accounting or finance

VP Logistics
- Create a detailed event schedule for the entire competition, each executive team members, and delegates
- Coordinate event room bookings, catering, and transportation
- Must be very detail oriented and organized

VP International Delegate Relations
- Responsible for recruiting teams from schools outside of North America
- Communicate in a professional manner with numerous schools across time zones
- Adapt to any unforeseen communicative or logistical issues quickly and professionally
- Responsible for sending emails nightly during the competition to all teams

VP National Delegate Relations
- Responsible for recruiting teams from schools within Canada and the United States
- Communicate in a professional manner with numerous schools across time zones
- Adapt to any unforeseen communicative or logistical issues quickly and professionally
- Responsible for sending emails nightly during the competition to all teams

VP Competition Technology
- Manage WMC's social media: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Snapchat
- Manage WMC's website, including executive team bio's
- Various of technological support
- Create and manage social media contests during the competition

VP Academic
- Responsible for assisting the case writer
- Responsible for stress testing and reviewing the case before the competition
- Create an engaging additional challenge for the delegates during the competition  
- Must have ample knowledge in geology or mining

Academic Director
- Responsible for creating content for the rule book, delegate handbook, and consent forms
- Responsible for organizing and overseeing presentations during the competition
- Responsible for organizing the logistics of academic challenges and competition presentations
- Communicating and briefing judges during the competition weekend

VP Events
- Responsible for planning and executing the opening ceremony for the competition
- Responsible for planning and executing the closing ceremony for the competition

Events Director
- Responsible for planning and executing fun and exciting games night during the competition
- Responsible for planning team bonding activities, compliant with Covid guidelines

VP Corporate Relations
- Contacting potential sponsors and pitching WMC to them
- Create Corporate Relations package to distribute to sponsors
- Responsible for recruiting judges and consultants for the competition

VP Marketing
- Responsible for creating all WMC professional documents such as the team guide and delegate handbook
- Create and order marketing materials such as banners and posters

Marketing Director
- Responsible for designing and ordering all WMC promotional items such as clothing, pens, lanyards, stickers, thank you cards, etc.
- Responsible for assembling swag-bag items prior to the competition
